Below are some common questions and answers regarding this new feature.
FAQ:
Q: When I click on the link to use the secure connection a Security Alert box similar to this appears. What do I do now?

A:
Q: Each time I use webmail I have to click on Yes to access the site.
I don't want to click on yes each time.
A1: Install and trust all content from Sorkin Computer
Service. Do do this, click here and
answer yes to install the trusted certificate.
A2: Click on View Certificate, then click on Install Certificate.
This will install the certificate on your computer. You will no longer be
asked to verify the certificate each time you connect.
Q: How do I know that the site is using encryption?
A: In Internet Explorer you will notice a "lock" icon in the lower right
of your screen, clicking on this icon will show you the cipher strength used for
this connection.
Q: Can I use a lower or weaker encryption?
A: No. Currently only 128bit is supported.
Q: What good is this "new" security feature?
A: If you connect using the secure connection method, it is extremely
difficult for another person to "listen in" on the information being transmitted
to and from the mail server to you. If you shop on-line, you will notice
that when you enter personal information like credit card information this same
method of security is used to protect your information.
Q: If I am in a foreign country can I connect using this secure
method?
A: Depending on the browser you are using, you may or may not be able to
connect using 128bit security. If you see the lock symbol in the lower
right, then your connection is secure.
Q: I cannot connect using the secure connection?
A: Make sure your browser support 128bit cipher strength. In
internet explorer click on "help", then "about internet explorer". You
should see the cipher strength set to 128bit. If you do not see this, go
to the windows update site and update your browser.
